1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Serens Wellness, a trading name of Kelieff Holdings ("we", "our", "us"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Serens mobile application ("Serens" or "the App") on iOS and Android devices.

By creating an account and using Serens, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who We Are

Serens Wellness is a trading name of Kelieff Holdings, operating from the United Kingdom. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3.3 Subscription and Billing Information

If you purchase a Serens Pro or Serens ProAI subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or process your payment card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat in order to unlock paid features.

3.4 Technical Information

We may collect limited technical information including device type, operating system version, app version number, and error logs to help us fix bugs.

3.5 AI Journal Usage

When you use the AI Journal feature, your journal context (time of day, mood score if logged, and whether previous entries exist) is sent to our secure Cloudflare Worker, which communicates with Anthropic's Claude AI model to generate a personalised prompt. Your prompts and written responses are stored in your account database. We do not share your journal content with any third party for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

3.6 Microphone Access

If you use the voice note feature in the AI Journal, the App will request access to your device microphone. Audio is recorded locally on your device and stored directly in your account. We do not stream, transmit, or analyse your voice recordings externally. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device Settings.

Serens relies on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to review.

6.1 Supabase

We use Supabase (Supabase Inc., USA) to host our database and handle authentication. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland region). Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy

6.2 Cloudflare

We use a Cloudflare Worker (Cloudflare Inc., USA) to securely proxy AI requests. Your journal context is transmitted through this worker but is not stored by Cloudflare. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

6.3 Anthropic

The AI Journal uses Claude by Anthropic, PBC (USA). Brief contextual information is sent to generate your prompt. Anthropic's API policy prohibits use of API data for model training. Privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy

6.4 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc., USA) to manage subscription entitlements. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

6.5 Apple and Google

If you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed by Apple or Google under their own terms. We receive only subscription status confirmation, not your payment details.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law. Encrypted backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@serens.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Serens is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at hello@serens.co.uk.

11. Push Notifications

Serens may request permission to send push notifications for habit reminders, streak alerts, and wellness prompts. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app. We do not send marketing notifications without your explicit consent.

12. International Transfers

Some of our third-party providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Anthropic, RevenueCat) are based in the United States. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via the App or by email. Continued use of Serens after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
